Dao of the Bizarre Immortal

Li Huowang experiences a dangerous cultivation world and a hospital. Their competing explanations do not tell him safely what to do next.

System details are visible on this page. Individual cards mark opening or later material; endings are not explained.

01

Two places, different explanations

The licensed English opening places Li Huowang in a dangerous cultivation setting and a hospital. People around him offer incompatible accounts. These first two chapters support studying that predicament; they do not settle which account is true or establish the rules of later powers.

02

He cannot simply choose an exit

The checked opening does not establish reliable travel on demand. In a new story, uncertainty needs consequences: a person waiting for certainty may miss a chance to help. Do not turn the source's predicament into a convenient portal ability or a diagnosis.

03

Write the incompatible instructions

Independent exercise: one experience shows a smoke-filled chamber whose occupant asks you to pull a ventilation lever; the other shows a ward whose nurse says that same motion disconnects oxygen. Write what evidence each person can offer and what quick check the protagonist requests. The linked rule card develops this invented example. The purpose is to make a decision possible before certainty, not to claim it happens in the novel.

SPECIFIC POWERS. REAL LIMITS.

Rules in action

Read the mechanics together: what the rules permit, what they cost, and which kinds of stories they create.
