Terms of service
These terms apply when you use CueShelf's website, accounts and writing tools. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service.
Free access
Browsing, copying, bookmarks and saving story projects are free. Bookmarks and saved projects require an account and sync across devices. Generation requires a registered account. A free account can make one successful AI generation or revision request per day. Daily allowances reset at 00:00 UTC and do not carry over.
Purchased AI requests
Request packs are one-time purchases: US$3 for 60 requests, US$6 for 150 requests, or US$9 for 300 requests. Each purchase adds to your account balance. Purchased requests do not expire and have no monthly reset or daily usage cap. Your free daily request is used first. All accounts use the same AI model.
One successful generation or AI revision uses one request, even when it returns several directions. Failed, timed-out or clarification-only requests do not use your balance. Requests in progress temporarily reserve a place. Short cooldowns and separate abuse and service-capacity limits apply. Requests belong to your account and have no cash value.
Purchases and billing
Buying a pack authorizes a single payment for that purchase. There is no subscription, automatic renewal or automatic top-up. Using a free account does not authorize a charge. Applicable taxes and the total payable are shown before you confirm payment through Waffo.
Refund policy
Request-pack payments are generally non-refundable. We do not offer refunds solely because you changed your mind or have unused requests, except in the following cases:
- Duplicate or incorrect charges will be corrected or refunded.
- If the paid service is not delivered or materially fails to work as described, contact us for a remedy, which may include an appropriate refund.
- If we end your prepaid service for reasons other than your breach of these terms, we will refund the unused purchased requests based on the price paid for them.
- Refunds, withdrawal rights and other remedies required by applicable law remain available. Nothing in this policy limits your mandatory consumer rights.
To request a refund or report a billing error, email [email protected] with your account email, order number or payment date, and the reason for your request. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and reverse the corresponding request balance. An adjustment for requests already used may offset requests added by a later purchase. Waffo may also process refunds under its applicable buyer terms. We will confirm the refund and resulting balance adjustment by email.
Your writing
AI suggestions can contain mistakes and should be reviewed before use. Generation sends the submitted brief to our AI provider; saving a project stores it in your account. See our privacy page for details.
User responsibilities and breaches
You are responsible for the information and material you submit, the security of your sign-in credentials and your use of generated material. Use CueShelf lawfully and respect the rights of others. Do not attempt unauthorized access, compromise the service's security, evade usage limits, commit fraud or interfere with other users' access.
If you materially or repeatedly breach these terms, we may issue a warning, restrict particular features, suspend your account or terminate your access. We may also take immediate action when reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, harm to others or a legal requirement. Where reasonably practicable and legally permitted, we will explain the action and provide an opportunity to respond. You may appeal by contacting [email protected].
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you remain responsible for proven losses directly caused by your unlawful activity or material breach of these terms. We may seek remedies available under applicable law.
Term, suspension and termination
These terms remain effective while you use the service. You may stop using CueShelf at any time and request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing [email protected]. Deletion and backup retention are described in our privacy policy.
Suspension or termination ends your access to the affected account or features. If we end a prepaid service for reasons other than your breach, we will refund unused purchased requests based on the price paid for them. Any refund rights required by applicable law remain unaffected. Provisions that by their nature must continue, including accrued obligations and the liability provisions below, survive termination.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CueShelf is provided "as is" and "as available", without express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that the service will meet every particular requirement.
AI-generated material may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or unsuitable for your intended use. It is creative assistance, not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. Review and independently verify generated material before publishing it or relying on it; seek a qualified professional's advice when appropriate. A generated result is not a guarantee of originality, accuracy or any particular outcome.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CueShelf and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Our total aggregate liability for claims arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid CueShelf in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these terms removes your mandatory consumer rights or remedies under applicable law.
